Facial Asymmetry

We all have a level of facial asymmetry, however, when significant changes to facial asymmetry are present this can be a little distressing.

In order to decide a course of action to help reduce the difference between each side of the face, your practitioner will assess your facial movements of your muscles actions, as well as your facial structure at rest and the volume that’s present.

A variety of options are available depending on the causes of the asymmetry. Where there is a difference in volume, then dermal fillers will be required, and where there is a difference in movement, a drug to relax the muscles may be needed, but this will depend on the movement and which muscle.

Where these is a change to the skin, then improving the skin’s elasticity will be important, however, this usually comes as a result of volume loss.
