I’m scared to have my first intimate waxing

Are you feeling nervous for your first intimate waxing? This is completely normal. At our clinic in Newport, Caerphilly, we ensure your experience is as comfortable and professional as possible. We use a modesty towel during your session to cover areas not being waxed, helping you feel at ease and maintaining your privacy. Our therapists provide a calm, respectful environment and we always explain each step before we begin, ensuring clear communication throughout. Using wax designed for sensitive skin; we apply gentle techniques to minimize discomfort. During the start of your treatment we will address your concerns and preferences, making sure you feel confident going forward. Rest assured we provide detailed aftercare tips to help you maintain your flawless skin. Ready to experience professional intimate waxing.

When should I shave?

If you’re planning your waxing appointment with us in the Sugar box Clinic you might be wondering when you should shave before your treatment. The good news is you don’t need to shave. For the best waxing results, it’s essential that your hair is long enough for the wax to grip effectively. We recommend letting your hair grow to about ¼ inch (the length of a grain of rice) before your appointment. This ensures smooth removal and longer-lasting results. Shaving too close to your appointment can cause the hair to be too short, making the waxing less effective. So avoid using the razor for at least two to three weeks before your waxing session.

When should I wax before my holiday?

If you’re preparing for your holiday and planning to book a waxing appointment in Sugarbox Clinic Risca, timing is key for the best results. Ideally, you should schedule your waxing session -3 days before your holiday. This allows any potential redness or sensitivity to subside, leaving your skin smooth and holiday ready. Waxing too far in advance may result in regrowth by the time you’re on holiday, while waxing too close to your departure might not give your skin enough time to calm down.

What wax do you use?

At our clinic in the outskirts of Newport, Caerphilly. We use two types of wax to ensure the best results for your waxing treatment: Hot wax and strip wax. Hot wax is ideal for more sensitive areas like intimate waxing as it adheres only to the hair, reducing discomfort while being gentle on the skin. For larger areas like the back, arms and legs we use strip wax. Strip wax is efficient and great for quickly removing hair from these less sensitive areas. Both methods provide smooth, long-lasting results tailored to your specific needs.
